U.S. workers who belong to unions earn 30 percent more than non-union
workers.

Northern B.C. I made $31.75/hour @ 40 hours/week with dental medical and 7% of yearly income put into Sunlife. A contractor here can make $42/hour and pay 19% income tax plus benefit the write offs. At $100 000 yearly including OT I paid just under $40000 in income tax. I am now contracting to the oilfield so come August it should be interesting to compare the #'s.
